ABOUT US

Rossview High School is located in Clarksville, Tennessee and is part of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. We are members of the Middle-Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association. The band program is comprised of roughly 170 students and is still growing! Our school offers numerous performance opportunities, including the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band and various chamber ensembles. The Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band both meet during school, while the Marching and Jazz Bands are after school. Our school mascot is the Hawk, and our school colors are red and gold! 

Our school and band motto is: Pride, Tradition, Excellence.

STAFF

Mr. Brandon Reynolds 
Director of Bands

Brandon Reynolds is the Director of Bands at Rossview High School. He currently oversees all aspects of the school's band department, including  the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band. He also instructs students in Guitar and General Music. Prior to moving to Rossview, Mr. Reynolds was the Director of Bands and Choir for Stewart County High School in Dover, Tennessee from 2016 to 2020. Before teaching in Middle Tennesee, Mr. Reynolds was the Band Director / Music Instructor at Hillcrest Elementary School in Troy, Tennessee. There he taught K-5 elementary music and also conducted the Beginning and 7th/8th grade bands.  Mr. Reynolds has also instructed private horn students, with previous students from years past going on to achieve scholarships and all-state level recognition.

Mr. Reynolds holds a Bachelor's of Science in Music Education Summa Cum Laude from Austin Peay State University. where he was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Horn Choir, Pep Band, Brass Quintet, and Governor's Own Marching Band. In addition to school ensembles, Mr. Reynolds also performed with other groups, including the Nashville Collegiate Orchestra. He was named an Outstanding Undergraduate Music Major by the APSU Department of Music and was a recipient of the Aaron Schmidt Alumni Band Scholarship. He was also member of the Provost's Emerging Leadership Program. 

 

A tenor and French hornist, Mr. Reynolds has regularly performed with the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Chancel Choir in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, his hometown. When not teaching or performing, Mr. Reynolds regularly attends professional development workshops and conducting clinics. 


Organization memberships for Mr. Reynolds include the Tennessee Bandmaster's Association (TBA), Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association (MTSBOA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Tennessee Music Educator's Association (TMEA), Professional Educator's of Tennessee (PET), Clarksville-Montgomery County Educator's Association (CMCEA), Gateway Music Association (GMA), Pi Kappa Lambda, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Mrs. Brooke Martin
Assistant Director of Bands 
Director of Bands, Rossview Middle School 

 

Brooke Martin is the director of instrumental music at Rossview Middle School. Previously, Mrs. Martin was the assistant band director at West Creek High School. Martin studied music education K-12 at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Skyhawk Marching Band, and chamber ensembles. Mrs. Martin's primary instrument is clarinet and she is a member of the Tennessee Bandmasters Association, Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association, and National Association for Music Education.

Mrs. Martin loves advocating for music education and spending time with her husband Justin and one year old son Jameson.
